Formerly an architect by trade, he started the brand back in 2015 with some friends by re purposing a small studio apartment into a gaming space which would eventually be known as an ‘esports dojo’. The dojo was intended to make video gaming and esports accessible to all demographics and within the first year of business, Hazman licensed out more than 10 esports dojo all over Malaysia. Now, KITAMEN has ventured into multiple branches of the esports industry and currently specialises in live events management, marketing, production and online broadcasting as well as sponsorship. The company has been active in the local esports scene since its foundation and has worked with global brands. Moving forward, Hazman envisions the growth and expansion of the esports industry not only within Malaysia but throughout the region.
